Maybe. Local climate systems are pretty hard to predict (being all chaotic like), and last I heard the jury was still pretty much out on the "OMG the Gulf Stream's grinding to a halt!" idea.
We could just happen to be having the second of two freakishly cold winters, after which we'll heat up again. We just don't know.
(Global climate is actually simpler, being a closed system. More CO2 → hotter. That's pretty straightforward.)
