ASA International 6 Coates Crescent 0131 226 6222. Jenny Sinclair is my person; she specialises in stuff up at the Uni as well as other things.
CR Recruitment Hanover Street 0131 220 5888 They let you specialise in certain areas sometimes, but they're often slower (they're a smaller agency so less work) and for some jobs their pay rate is lower: eg min £5/hr for basic office job, whereas ASA pay min £6/hr for an office job.
"If you want to work on contract through Computer People, we recommend you set yourself up as a Limited Company. By forming a Limited Company, you become the director and the major shareholder and then work for the company as an employee."
Dont know if you know Steven Hill. He did this recently to his advantage. You get to write off business expenses against tax (so nice lunches out and cheap pcs!) and have numerous advantages as you can join things as a business, e.g. costco membership etc
I can also get you advice on starting your own business and where to get free money (business gateway) if you are interested in doing it for real. You can get thousands. And you don't have to pay it back even if the business folds (but don't quote me on that)
And i can help you with your vat should you earn over 59k per year. =0)
