The booooze pantheon

Was tempted by an alcoholic angel (yay whisky angels!) into taking a whisky tour, which was informative and cheesy in a funny way and involved consumption of alcohol. And by the time I'd got out, lo! a miracle had occurred, for a bottle of whisky had materialised in my bag. Money had also materialised out of my wallet, but I'm thinking this is just a coincidence.

Anyway. Ardbeg 10 yrs. An early birthday present from me to me.

Ooooh, controversial statement there!
It's definitely the most powerful Islay I've had, and, when I'm in the mood for that sort of thing, I'd agree with you. But the (slightly) more subtle ones are also very good. Caol Ila, for example, is lovely...

It is a statement which tells you more about me than anything else. I have tried Caol Ila - and it doesn't come close. :)

As for powerful, even as little as a teaspoon of water does wonders for Ardbeg 10.
