You Just Lost The Game!

Rules of the Game:

  1. You begin playing The Game when you become aware of its existence.
  2. Whenever you think about The Game, you lose.
  3. When you lose The Game, you must announce your loss to everyone present.

This post is part of an attempt to document the existence and spread of The Game. To help, please copy this to your own journal and then edit the following page to track its progress through LiveJournal:

It's polite to ask people if they really want to know about the Game before you bully them into playing.

It's an amusing memetic exercise until you start being all heavy-handed and coercive about it.

No, I mean you must say "I've just lost the game". You may optionally then explain the rules of The Game.

a) No. You lose the Game when you think of the Game. You may optionally then announce your loss to others present, causing them to lose.
b) No. You explain the rules if people want you to, preferably having first given them fair warning that they are proceeding on an irreversible course of action. Once you are playing the Game you are never not playing the Game.

Your version is very polite and all, but it's non-canonical.

My take
1. people around you take memes seriously.
2. thus, if you can lose the game at any opperunity to see the reactions of people.
3. who will often call you a bastard
4. and then you win.

The inherent evilness of this post aside, why have Wikipedia decided to delete The Game anyway?

Nm, just read part of the deletion log - not that it's highly sensible.

I really don't understand why it's been deleted. I mean, hundreds of people have told them "yes, this game exists, I play it myself", but apparently that's not good enough.

Frankly, I think they just don't like it.
