Well, Gilliam was very open about having based it on La Jetee. It was shown on TV around the time 12 Monkeys came out because of that. Most of the people I know who've seen it - myself included - watched it because of the connection.

Tetrachromancy has been on my list of semi-plausible things I would like for a while, usually with a (low) UV-sensitive pigment. Also opposable big toes and a vitamin C pathway.

And if you can ever find Littlewood's Miscellany there are some very nice pictorial proofs and counter examples - the one I can remember off-hand is Littlewood's Crocodile.

Well, instead of a proper name for that bay-type-thing in the centre, they've just got "Xx". As if somebody put that in thinking "I'll figure out the proper name for this later..." and then didn't.

It's since hit 360, and is still increasing.

I'm closing each tab as I read it, and I'm only opening links that pique my interest. Worse, some of the links have led to chains of Wikipedia articles...
