"Earth may not be engulfed by the Sun when its explosive 'red giant' phase begins millions of years from now. Astronomers have discovered a planet in another solar system that appears to have survived its own star's violent expansion. Researchers from the National Institute of Astrophysics in Italy believe the planet, known as V391 Pegasi b, escaped because it was pushed to an outlying orbit when its nearby star expanded."
...or was its orbit shifted by the superintelligent alien race who live there? 8^)
