Stewarding

I appear to have been roped into being an organiser for the Stewards this Samhain. I'm feeling a little out of my depth here... is anybody else willing to share some of the responsibilities? Am especially looking for somebody who's good at motivating (or just shouting at) people. I'll freely admit to not being a "people person", so if it's all down to me we'll end up with about half a dozen stewards...

Seriously, anyone thinking must be be able to work comfortable in a group with yourself, Torchbearers as well as be able to attend organisers meeting and understand that this will increasing take time and energy as you get closer to the Event itself... You will be responsible for organising and TRAINING 30+ people to act as Stewards on the event.

It is stressful, but ultimately is extremely rewarding.

Alex, if you need any advice in this matter, I will be willing to help in that respect but definitely not interested in help to run Stewards

I think Ellie is also going to be doing this. If you need help, please ask. I can help with recruitment stuff and maybe come along to a few practices and help out, but I am going to be organising another group for Samhuinn (excitement) so can't actually sign up as an organiser.

If you want to meet up (maybe with Ellie too) with myself, and Fenland (if he's interested) we could discuss things we all did to make things easier. Just give me a call sometime soon.
