It is a very strange film, although I think it made some sort of sense by the end of it (once I'd decided the Mayan bit was probably fictional in the film's universe which took away the problem of the same character being in that time and also in the present day). I did quite like the film overall, I'll have to get the DVD sometime and see if it makes more sense the second time round.
