I forgot to take the garlic schapps with me on holiday, and so it remains unconsumed. I have just removed the garlic and sampled the brew. 'Tis strong, but not unpleasant.
Colour is a pale yellow with a slight green tinge.
*Samples again for good measure*
Odour is a clear and obvious garlic one, with some sharp notes that reminds me somewhat of vinegar or dettol.
A sharp, grassy pungence invades your nose on the first sip. It mellows out into a very nutty flavour, but the sharpness remains on the tongue for some time.
Who wants to sample, and when? 8^)
Edit:
gominokouhai has sampled. Comments: "surprisingly smooth" and posits ginger ale as a mixer. Mmmm, ginger ale.

As for the garlic schnapps, it smelled very good, although very strongly garlic. I'd suggest it would be good with pizza. Or Mexican food. Tortilla, anyone?

Good suggestions for the food accompaniments, but I think it needs a mixer as well, since it's rather strong-tasting. Tomato juice?

Will be in scotland in three weeks, but in Glasgow, consarn it. Are you going to the Scottish?
I'm contemplating ordering a kilo of 73% dark chilli chocolate, or perhaps prune and geranium, so a swap of some kind may be possible.

Still planning on coming up that weekend, and may even get to Edinburgh. We shall see.
