Your scores were:
  • Visual: 6
  • Aural: 1
  • Read/Write: 4
  • Kinesthetic: 6
You have a multimodal (VRK) learning preference.

The VARK test

Hmmmm... I entirely disagree. I'm certain that I have a strongly visual learning preference. What form I use knowledge in is a different matter. But if you look at my lecture notes, you'll see things highlighted, underlined, bordered, and copied out in alternative fonts and different colours. I use flowcharts, drawings, tables, venn diagrams, mind-maps, annotated scales, relationship diagrams... It's through this sort of visual exploration and representation of ideas that I remember stuff. Otherwise it just goes "in one ear, out the other".

Use it wisely?
Don't be silly; I'm a geek!
I shall waste my knowledge and intellect on entirely frivolous pursuits!   8^)

Actually, those scores do show exactly what you say you do to learn things:)

The very act of highlighting, etc is a part of the kinesthetic score as that is a hands on interactive method of being visually oriented.

That it tends to be involved with notes, charting etc, illustrates the heightened read/write score.

Hey, it just shows you are more broad minded than you thought!

Hmmm... the 'learning notes' on the kinesthetic page all tend to revolve around finding concrete examples for the problem; this tends not to be too helpful to my learning, as I think in broad concepts and categories rather than specific instances.

Highlighting and underlining are in the learning notes on the visual page.

There again, they might just be talking shite.
